The Artwork

Heirloom artwork, built to last

This is what your session becomes. Not files on a hard drive. Artwork made to live in your home, on your walls, and in your family for years to come.

Why it matters

Not all printing is created equal

Most people don’t realise how much difference there is between a professional print and a consumer one (aka, a Kmart, Target or similar) until they see them side by side. Consumer printing doesn’t accurately reproduce the colours and tones in a professionally edited image – and over time, that gap only widens. Within a year, colours shift and the image you loved starts to look like a shadow of what it was. That’s not a good outcome for images that took hours to capture and create.

Every product available through Malone Photography is produced by professional labs with over 150 years of combined expertise in fine art printing. These aren’t consumer services – they work exclusively with professional photographers and operate quality checks at every stage of production, and again before anything reaches your door, to make sure the finished product is exactly right and lasts just like museum artifacts.

Framed Wall Art

Ready to hang, built to last

Every framed piece arrives complete – printed, framed, with UV-protective glazing and hanging hardware included. Nothing to source, nothing to guess at. You hang it and it’s done.

Frames are available in a range of finishes and styles to suit different images and different homes. A brief visual guide to each style is below.

A clean, unmatted frame. Nothing between the image and the room but optically pure acrylic. From $685.

A classic white mat surrounds the image, adding breathing room and a traditional gallery feel. From $740.

The print is suspended between clear acrylic front and back, appearing to float within the frame. Finished with a torn-edge border for texture and a handmade quality. From $890.

The print floats on a backing within an unglazed frame. No acrylic over the surface – just the print, raw and present. From $1,015.

A canvas product, image-wrapped so the photograph continues around the edges with no abrupt ending where the canvas meets the frame. From $1,015.

Albums

The whole story, in your hands

An album is a different kind of artwork. Where a framed piece lives on a wall, an album lives in your hands – picked up, turned through, and returned to again and again.

Linen wrapped, linen boxed, and finished with optional embossed details. Built to be handed down. From $3,985.

A magazine-style cover with a customisable interior, allowing for text alongside images to tell the story in your own words. From $3,400.

Memory Boxes

Artwork you can hold

Not everything needs to go on a wall. Memory Boxes offer a different way to keep your images close – physical, tactile, and designed to be kept somewhere meaningful.

Holds up to 15 photo mount fine art prints in a crafted timber box with an acrylic lid. Additional prints available at extra cost. From $1,960.

Holds up to 50 matte prints in a glass-lidded box with engraving. From $900 for 15 prints included.

Artwork Consultation

For when you want it exactly right

An Artwork Consultation is a dedicated time where we look at your images, your space, and your vision together before anything goes to print.

For album orders, an Artwork Consultation is included in the price so we can plan the story we want to tell in the Album. We’ll also discuss all the inclusions you’d like, flag any images you want featured more prominently, and work through the design together.

If you’re thinking you’d like to create a Gallery Wall of framed artwork, an Artwork Consultation is also strongly encouraged – getting the images, sizing and layout right before anything is produced makes all the difference to the finished result.

An Artwork Consultation is included automatically in the Heart Dog Collection and available to purchase for $350 for clients in the Companion or Beloved Collections.

How it works

Your Gallery comes first

Before any of this becomes yours, you see your images in your Gallery. Once you’ve seen a video showcasing them, you’ll purchase your Collection. That way, you’re making a purchasing decision based on seeing the photos, not a hope or dream.
