What are

Japanese Cherry Blossoms?

Japanese Cherry Blossoms are the flowering blooms from Cherry Blossom trees that are unique to Japan.

While the name may suggest that these trees bear fruit, this is not the case. These trees are ornamental only, producing thick, delicate blossoms for a few weeks each year in spring.

The Japanese Cherry Blossoms I photograph amongst are special to Melbourne. Originally gifted to Melbourne by the Japanese Prime Minister in 1980, over the years the orchard has expanded and now includes several varieties of Japanese Cherry Blossoms.

The Session

Japanese Cherry Blossom Sessions are held in Banksia Park, Bulleen amongst the Japanese Cherry Blossom orchard. Over 1 hour around sunrise or sunset, we’ll spend some time creating premium portraits that you’ll enjoy for years to come.

As these Sessions are designed with the intention of capturing portraits amongst the Japanese Cherry Blossoms, there is limited opportunity to customise these Sessions like I offer with my regular Sessions. If you’re wanting a photography experience that’s customised to you, your dog and the artwork you’d like to create – please look at my Experience page for more information.

Print Package

The Print Package is curated to enable you to enjoy the results of your Session in the best possible way, with museum quality artwork displayed in your home to enjoy every day.

For $950, you can book your Japanese Cherry Blossom Session, get $685 credit to spend on printed artwork, AND I’ll include 2 digital images.

To select your artwork, you’ll be provided a link to book an Ordering Appointment where we’ll go through the options available, select your chosen artwork and images and place the order that day (note: if the chosen product/s exceed $685 you will be invoiced for the additional amount on the day of ordering).

Digital Only Package

The Digital Only package is created for those who don’t want to miss out on the Japanese Cherry Blossoms, but aren’t ready to commit to an artwork purchase yet.

For $300, you can book your Japanese Cherry Blossom Session and get 2 digital images included.

If after seeing your photos you’d like to purchase artwork, you’ll be able to book an Ordering Appointment where you can select your artwork and images, where you’ll then be invoiced for your chosen products.
